I am part of Gail Preston’s team in Oxford since April 2021. I'm working on the BIOSCHAMP project, aiming to advance mushroom farming (https://bioschamp.eu/).

My journey started with a Biology degree from Bath University in 2012, focusing on Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Elaeidis, or Oil Palm Wilt. I then explored broader agricultural themes with an MSc in 'Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture' at Exeter University, diving into crop security, biotechnology, and policy, and researching Trichoderma's plant growth benefits in the form of a 6 month project. My academic path led to a PhD, again at Exeter, led by Prof. Sarah Gurr. Here I spend 4 years studying the wheat pathogen Zymoseptoria tritici. Post-PhD, I researched pathogens affecting bananas and wheat, specifically Panama disease, Septoria leaf blotch, and Black Sigatoka.

Outside my research, I manage the web site for the British Society of Plant Pathology. Off-duty, I'm into cooking, outdoor activities, cricket, traveling, socializing, and films.
