I am a DPhil student in the OxNav group, supervised by Tim Guilford, with a broad interest in the diet and foraging strategies of pelagic seabirds. My research focuses on the Manx shearwater, exploring what these birds eat and how their diet varies across the breeding season and between years. I am particularly interested in the links between foraging behaviour and prey choice. To investigate this, I combine molecular approaches such as DNA metabarcoding with movement data and dive metrics, allowing me to connect diet with where and how birds forage at sea.
