I joined the Rhizosphere Lab in October 2025. My DPhil project focuses on understanding how the bacterial phosphotransferase system for nitrogen regulates nutrient uptake and adaptation to nitrogen availability in Rhizobium leguminosarum. I use a combination of genetics, biochemistry, proteomics, and computational modelling to investigate the regulatory networks underlying these processes. My project is co-supervised by Dr Carmen Sánchez-Cañizares, Dr Marjorie Fournier, and Associate Professor Jani R. Bolla.
