My research interests lie in animal behaviour and evolution, particularly how colour, patterns and movement influence interactions between animals. My current research focuses on butterflies, exploring how their appearance and behaviour affect interactions with predators. I combine high-speed filming, visual modelling, robotics and behavioural experiments to investigate these relationships and gain a better understanding of how animal signals function and evolve in the natural world.
