I am interested in exploring the interplay between ecology, evolution, and conservation science to address questions about the impacts of anthropogenic threats on the persistence of biodiversity in tropical island ecosystems and the conservation measures that can be applied to mitigate these impacts.
For my DPhil project, I am investigating the impacts of land use change and related anthropogenic disturbances on the diversity, composition, and functioning of various ecological communities in tropical insular landscapes. Ultimately, through this research, I aim to inform policy implementation that will protect biodiversity and optimize ecological functioning in human-modified tropical island ecosystems. funded by the Interdisciplinary Life and Environmental Science Landscape Award (ILESLA).
