I'm interested in understanding how initial conditions shape developmental trajectories and contribute to diverse adult phenotypes. My DPhil project is focused on how factors such as nutritive environment and maternal determinant contribution shape early development in Lake Malawi cichlid fishes, with a particular focus on the potential role of these factors in producing vertebral count diversity across different cichlid species.
