Research Interests

I am a NERC-funded DPhil student, supervised by Professor Lindsay Turnbull and Professor Baroness Kathy Willis. My research investigates how artificial light at night (ALAN) influences floral development, floral traits, pollination, and reproductive success in nocturnally pollinated plants, with a particular focus on Silene latifolia. I will use a combination of field studies, common garden experiments, and ecological genetics to understand how ALAN shapes plant–pollinator interactions and plant fitness across light pollution gradients.

I previously worked as a research technician with the Ecosystems Group across the road in the School of Geography and the Environment, and as a research assistant in the Department of Botany at Trinity College Dublin. I hold an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation from Trinity College Dublin and a BSc in Biological Sciences from Maynooth University.

Outside of research, I’m a keen gardener with an interest in sustainable horticulture.
