Research Interests

My pronouns are he/him

My research brings a sensory ecology perspective to bird collisions and navigation in the context of landscape change. Specific areas of focus include avian visual fields, the impact of landscape change on visually-guided navigation, and birds’ flight behaviours around wind turbines. Across my research, I integrate phylogenetic and machine learning methods. The ultimate goal of my work is to contribute to mitigation strategies, informed by avian sensory ecology and behaviour. My other research interests broadly include applying animal behaviour to biodiversity threats, understanding behaviour at the interface of the social and physical environments, and social networks.
