Research Interests

My pronouns are she/her

My research background lies primarily in marine mammal ecology and biological oceanography. I am particularly interested in the shifting ecology of ecosystem sentinel species. My DPhil research investigates nutritional resilience in the marine food web and assesses prey adequacy for UK marine mammals. I will use a series of modeling approaches to elucidate and quantify nutritional overlaps between marine mammals and fisheries. By identifying trophic shifts and nutritional fluxes, I aim to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the stressors threatening ecosystem resilience. My overarching focus is to develop a research framework that can be applied to other coastal systems and serve as a baseline for ecosystem monitoring.
