Research Interests

My pronouns are she/her

My research interests focus on understanding the molecular and cellular biology of schistosomes, with particular emphasis on sex differentiation mechanisms inside definitive hosts. I am interested in applying modern proteomic, transcriptomic, and bioinformatic approaches to identify key genes that decide the sex of schistosomes. By integrating experimental and computational methods, my work aims to uncover the biological processes that drive parasite differentiation.

The impact of my work extends beyond parasite biology by understanding parasite survival and disease progression, supporting global efforts to reduce the burden of a neglected tropical disease affecting millions of people worldwide.
