I am a DPhil student interested in using bioinformatics and AI to improve virus surveillance. I have a background in computer science and am part of the Interdisciplinary Bioscience Doctoral Training Program.
My research focuses primarily on swine influenza, and I am co-supervised by Tom Peacock at the Pirbright Institute. I combine phylogenetics, protein-structure-based modelling, and laboratory assays to study viral evolution and support the early detection of zoonotic outbreaks.
