My research explores what foundation models of proteins and genomes have learned about the fundamental rules of life. My projects focus on reverse-engineering these powerful AI systems to extract human-readable biological insights directly from their internal structures. Ultimately, by opening up these "black boxes," I aim to build safer, more reliable tools.
