I am interested in evolution and population genetics. My DPhil focus is on the evolutionary consequences of sex chromosome evolution for speciation. In my DPhil, I hope to identify the genetic underpinnings of speciation in hybridising sister species, Silene latifolia and dioica. Additionally, I am interested in the fate of sex chromosome genes that are linked to Haldane's rule and the large X effect in hybrids.
