Research Interests

My pronouns are he/him

My research explores the molecular mechanisms that control chloroplast development and the communication between the chloroplast and the nucleus, especially under environmental stresses such as drought and salinity. I am particularly interested in how these processes influence plant growth and stress tolerance. Since joining Professor Paul Jarvis’s group at the University of Oxford in July 2025, my work has focused on uncovering the architecture and assembly of the chloroplast translocon complex to better understand how protein import supports chloroplast biogenesis.
