I am fascinated by venomous animals such as snakes, spiders and centipedes. I am currently pursuing doctoral research on the behavioural and biochemical specialisations of spiders to explore hypotheses on the convergent evolution of hunting behaviour and toxins during the capture of dangerous prey. This dovetails into my broader interest in the biology of dangerous animals and methods to combat envenomation.
