I joined the Rhizosphere Lab in August 2025 following a rotation project in May 2025. My DPhil project involves characterizing glycoproteins produced by the model organism Pisum sativum that help facilitate the initial stages of Rhizobium attachment to roots. I am also continuing work from my initial rotation, examining the role of hormones in host regulation of rhizobia symbionts. My project is co-supervised by Professor Lars Ostergaard.
Before starting my DPhil at Oxford, I completed my BSc Biology (Honours) and BA in Education at the University of Saskatchewan. My work at the University of Saskatchewan was divided between investigating the pharmacological profile of different cannabinoids as well as understanding the role of cryptochrome photoreceptors in Arabidopsis defence mechanisms.
