Research Interests

My pronouns are he/him

I am researching the drivers of intraspecific tree architecture, and rates of branch turnover. I have a passion for tropical forests and the factors that affect their demography. I want to explore how advancing remote sensing technologies can enhance our understanding of climate change’s impact on our planet’s forests. My work will aim to develop our understanding of the determinants of intraspecific variation of tree architecture and how this influences tree demography in an intact tropical forest, using terrestrial laser scanning. I will also be exploring the use of terrestrial laser scanning to determine branch turnover rates.
