Research Interests

My pronouns are he/him

As a protein biochemist, my main research interests are the plant secretory pathway and protein structure/function. As a result, my DPhil focuses in molecular farming—the use of plants to produce pharmaceutically valuable proteins, such as antibodies. I am currently investigating synthetic biology as a way to improve the yield of recombinant antibodies produced in plants. This could significantly improve the yield of antibodies harvested from plants for use in patients and laboratory research.
