As a Research Finance Officer, I support the financial administration of research projects from pre-award to post-award stages. My role involves preparing costings for funding applications, ensuring compliance with university and funder regulations, and providing budgetary advice to researchers and project teams. I work closely with academics, research support staff, and external funding bodies to facilitate the smooth financial management of grants.
I also monitor expenditure, forecast budgets, and contribute to financial reporting and audits. By maintaining strong attention to detail and fostering collaborative relationships, I help ensure that projects are financially sustainable and delivered in line with strategic goals.
