My research focuses on understanding scale dependency in landscape phenology - how biological events like bud burst and senescence differ when observed at fine versus coarse spatiotemporal scales. Scale gaps can lead to mismatches in how we interpret and predict ecological responses, which can have significant implications for understanding trophic mismatch, carbon cycling, and other critical ecosystem services in the face of climate change. To investigate this I aim to combine different types of satellite data with high-resolution drone data, using data from multiple years and sites to investigate how scale dependency might differ across space and time.
