We present a genome assembly from an individual female Eupithecia subfuscata (the Grey Pug; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The genome sequence has a total length of 505.90 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.55 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 14,416 protein-coding genes.
