Exploring the concept of division of labour, where cooperative individuals specialise in complementary tasks, is crucial for understanding the evolution of life. My current research focuses on the cooperation within the toluene degradation pathway of Pseudomonas putida. I am particularly interested in testing a key assumption about division of labour by synthetically manipulating this pathway.
