Research Interests

My pronouns are he/him

I have over five years of research experience with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) on wetlands restoration, forestry conflict, and enhancement of community livelihoods in Southeast Asia. My current research focuses on achieving human-wildlife coexistence for biodiversity conflict transformation through human-heritage biodiversity conservation—surfing between sociobiology and sociology within conservation science. My specific focus is on the altruistic relationship between humans and Asian elephants in Sumatra, Indonesia.
