Research Interests

I'm interested in understanding the pluripotency regulatory network of planarian, a model organism for stem cell study. We use genomic approaches such as RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, and scRNA-seq to research the key regulatory genes, especially transcription factors, that contribute to the stem cell proliferation and differentiation. I've also been working on establishing the transgenic planarian model by using CRISPR-CAS9. Prior to coming to Oxford, I studied cancer epigenetics (specifically DNA methylation) at Fudan University.
