My research mainly focus on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of cell surface modifications (of MprF and Dlt proteins) in Gram-positive bacteria and evaluating the evolutionary principles underlying antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) resistance. I am also working on elaborating the possibility of restoring the effectivity of existing clinically used cationic AMPs and understanding the evolutionary mechanisms underpinning AMP resistance.
