Research Interests

My research interest is regeneration and epigenetics. In my project, I propose to establish Parhyale as a model to investigate the role of DNA methylation in regulating gene expression that control regeneration. My research goal is to perform epigenomic (DNA methylation) analysis of Parhyale cells and tissues during limb regeneration to see how this process may regulate gene expression in cells that replace missing tissues. The study will provide the opportunity to discover the role of DNA methylation patterns in regeneration and contribute to increasing the understanding of the fundamental questions in regenerative biology.
