I am a research software developer working with Target Malaria on a mosquito population model software which simulates the potential of gene drive technology to suppress malaria-spreading mosquito populations. The software can inform current gene drive development research, policy and regulation. In this project, I have mainly focused on creating documentation, developing a graphical user interface and developing and improving the model software so it can be easily maintained, extended and shared to a wide range of users.
I'm interested in improving reproducibility and open research practices within research software development, particularly for interdisciplinary collaboration. I enjoy engaging and collaborating with the research community on these topics and have collaborated on several Research Reproducibility Oxford (RROx) events - I presented at the Oxford Forum of Open Scholarship 2025 and helped organise Software Carpentries workshops on Shell, Python and git.
