My research interests lie primarily within the applications of analytical chemistry within plant sciences.
My current research project is studying the metal hyperaccumulator Noccaea caerulescens using X-ray imaging and spectroscopic techniques with the aim of uncovering the mechanisms by which accumulated zinc can provide a defence against disease by the bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae.
