I research host-parasite dynamics using European mistletoe (Viscum album) as a study species, in close collaboration with The Tree Council. I aim to understand how and why mistletoes persist on a variety of hosts, how mistletoe-host relationships will change into the future and what this could mean for management. I address these questions by collecting demographic data in the field, running mathematical models and conducting field experiments.
