I am a theoretical biologist interested in the interplay between ecological and evolutionary processes. During my PhD, I investigated the possible mechanisms for maintaining arms-race-like dynamics between cheaters and cooperators. Before coming to Oxford, I worked on several projects on adaptive strategies under different time scales of environmental variation. I also have some experience in phylogenetic comparative analysis and time series analysis. In Foster lab, we work on understanding the dynamics between bacteria within microbial communities. While some projects are theoretical or computational, we are also exploring the possibility of applying machine learning algorithms.
