I am currently completing a PhD in the Department of Biology at The University of Oxford, funded by a NERC studentship as part of the Doctoral Training Program in Environmental Research. I work in animal behaviour and conservation, and I am currently investigating social dynamics within the landscape of lion conservation. My main focus is on understanding the consequences of disturbances to social structure and processes on individual behaviour, and the extended impact of this on the functioning and stability of the wider population. Primarily, I use a social network analysis framework to address these questions. In addition, I am researching the biases and inequalities that exist within the lion conservation sphere, with the aim of better understanding their impacts.
