My research interests involve plant and microbial metabolic engineering with the ultimate aim of developing platforms for pharmaceutical protein production. In the past, I had the opportunity to work with various species in different labs, promoting the production of high-value natural products for drug discovery. I am currently a DPhil student at the Plant Chemetics Lab (Prof Renier van der Hoorn), exploring the processing of human antibodies (IgGs) by plant proteases in Nicotiana benthamiana.
