My research interests include biodiversity, insular biology, urban ecosystems, ecology and conservation, particularly of - but not limited to - insect and reptile study systems. My MBiol project focuses on thermal tolerances of tropical insects with respect to ontogeny. I am using experimental approaches and a metanalysis to test hypotheses surrounding the question “does the thermal tolerance of tropical insects change with ontogeny?”.
I also survey for slow worms and grass snakes at Wytham Woods for the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust, and for damselflies & dragonflies at Christ Church Meadow.
I am a member of the British Dragonfly Society's youth panel.
