My research interests lie around the host-microbiota interactions both in humans and other species. An immunologist by training, I am particularly interested in gut microbiota dynamics in early life when host undergoes developmental processes, including immune maturation. In my DPhil, I am using a new wild house mouse study system on a Welsh island to study temporal dynamics in the gut microbiota and how this reflects to the host physiology.
