My research aims to estimate epidemiological parameters and describe the spread of chronic viral infections (such as HIV and Hepatitis C Virus) in a population, using molecular epidemiology methods.
This epidemiological information can help evaluate and prioritise different preventative strategies.
My work focuses on vulnerable populations, such as people who inject drugs and forcibly displaced populations, which are more difficult to study by means of traditional epidemiology.
