Dr Sovanna Tan

Research Interests

I obtained a Master degree and a PhD both specialised in Plant Sciences at the Paris-XI/Paris Saclay University in France. I then got a 1-year assistant lecturer position at the Institute of Plant Sciences of Paris-Saclay University (IPS2) where I continued my work on the hormonal regulation of symbiotic nodule formation in Legumes. My research interests are mainly focused on signalling in the specific context of plant development. I’m now working in Jane’s Langdale lab, taking part of the C4 Rice Project where my research is focused on the relationship between cell divisions and the establishment of veins patterning in developing rice leaves.
