Dr Louise Pankhurst

Research Interests

Louise completed her PhD in 2010 and after working at University College London she joined the Crook Group at the Nuffield Department of Medicine in August 2011.

In the Crook group she focused on translating multiplex PCR/mass spectometry and Whole Genome Sequencing based methods from research into diagnostic tools for enteric infections, tuberculosis, and blood stream infections.

Joining the Foster lab in January 2019, she is co-ordinating laboratory work within the group and exploring what makes enteric microbial communities robust to pathogens.
