Research Interests

I am a Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellow based at the University of Oxford. My current research broadly focuses on the interface between plant physiological performance, demographic responses, and species distributions. During my PhD and previous postdocs, I studied how the ecophysiology of invasive plants contribute to their invasive success using physiological markers to characterize plant stress responses, such as variations in photosynthetic pigments, antioxidants, accumulation of damaged molecules, etc., as well as characterization of seed attributes and variability. As a postdoctoral fellow in the SalGo team, I combine experimental approaches and ecological modelling to examine the drivers of species invasion at macro-ecological scales and their forecasts under different environmental scenarios (i.e., climate change).
