Research Interests

I am fascinated by the ability of plants to adapt their growth according to the varying environmental conditions. That’s why I decided to do a DPhil in plant biology to study the mechanisms that govern plant growth. In particular, I work on exploring the mechanisms that integrate the information about energy availability in the plants into a growth decision in the shoot apical meristem. In the long term, a better understanding of these complex signalling mechanisms will contribute to the improvement of crop plants and thereby help to tackle the world’s upcoming climate challenges.
