I am broadly interested in how anthropogenic stressors affect freshwater ecosystems. For my DPhil research, I use an experimental stream mesocosm system to understand the combined effects of warming and wastewater effluent on aquatic ecosystems in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, I conduct fieldwork in South Africa to investigate how land-use intensification and latitudinal variation shape the composition of freshwater biological communities.
