I am a NERC-funded PhD student jointly based at the University of Oxford and the Zoological Society of London. My research focuses on improving the accuracy and generalisability of biodiversity forecasts. In particular, I explore how integrating generalisable trait-based approaches with more mechanistic demographic frameworks can improve predictions of vertebrate population responses to complex threat regimes.

My current research has two main components: developing trait-based frameworks to predict population responses to shifting threat conditions, and quantifying and modelling the demographic impacts of threats on populations. More broadly, I am interested in bridging a wide range of approaches to improve biodiversity forecasts, including energetics, phylogenetics, and machine-learning methods. I also have a strong interest in advancing statistical methodology in applied ecology, for example by improving the reliability of trait imputation approaches.
