My pronouns are he/him

I am an MBiol student at Oxford with a broad interest in immunology, host–pathogen interactions, and the development of safer and more effective vaccines.

My master’s project investigates how mycobacteria disseminate to the central nervous system following intravenous BCG vaccination. Using a combination of PET imaging, GFP-labelled BCG, and quantitative microbiology, I am mapping the route BCG takes from the bloodstream to the brain and defining the cellular mechanisms involved in potential blood–brain-barrier traversal. Alongside this mechanistic work, I am also evaluating whether IV BCG can act as a safer, 3Rs-aligned alternative to Complete Freund’s Adjuvant in neuroinflammatory models.
