Research Interests

I am interested in understanding the spatio-temporal spread of infectious diseases. More specifically I want to understand the different scales at which transmission occurs and role of different interventions at the various scales, by using epidemiological, spatial and genomic data. I've been involved with modelling of the spread SARS-CoV-2 and it's variants across the globe. In the past, I've used hierarchical Bayesian model-based methods for joint small area estimation of HIV prevalence and anti-retroviral therapy coverage at sub-national levels in Malawi. Followed by using methods such as hierarchical modelling analysing longitudinal cohort data and creating a clinical trial simulator for disease modifying therapies of Alzheimer’s disease.
