Professor Oliver Pybus awarded the Mary Lyon medal

Many congratulations to Professor Oliver Pybus who has been awarded the Mary Lyon medal from the Genetics Society. This new annual award, named after the distinguished geneticist Mary Lyon FRS, was established in 2015 to reward outstanding research in genetics to scientists who are in the middle of their research career. Having been awarded this medal, Professor Pybus will be invited to present a lecture at one of the Genetics Society scientific meetings.

Professor Pybus said: "I’m honoured, and it’s a great privilege to join the previous recipients of the medal. I’m deeply grateful to all my colleagues and collaborators, without whom my research couldn’t happen. I feel lucky to be working in such a vibrant and exciting field of biology."
