Professor Jane Langdale appointed a CBE in The Queen's Birthday Honours List

We are delighted to congratulate Professor Jane Langdale who was appointed a CBE in The Queen's Birthday Honours List today, for her services to plant science.

Upon receiving her Honour, Professor Langdale said:

This is a real honour and I am humbled by it. Whilst the award recognizes my contribution to the field of plant sciences, I could not have made such a contribution without the help and support of amazing people throughout my career- students, postdocs, colleagues, lab managers, admin assistants – and of course the dog sitters that enable me to travel.

We also wish to extend congratulations to our colleagues in the Department of Zoology: Professor Angela McLean appointed a DBE for services to mathematical biology and to scientific advice for government, and to Professor Kathy Willis appointed a CBE for services to biodiversity and conservation.
