My MBiol research investigates the optimisation of sex ratios in the blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus). Previous work has described the facultative adjustment of offspring sex ratios in response to mate quality in this species. I aim to understand the consequences of such sex ratio adjustment for fitness, aiding understanding of the nature of selection on biased sex ratios.
