I am a DPhil student in Interdisciplinary Bioscience and my main research interest concerns the avian adaptive immune system and the factors that shape its enormous diversity.
My project is supervised by Adrian L. Smith (University of Oxford) and Munir Iqbal (The Pirbright Institute).
Aside from my academic interests, I am involved in several activities aimed at promoting science and scientific understanding in Romania. I have also collaborated with Romanian NGOs that focus on decreasing the burden of infectious diseases through informing the public about vaccination and other prevention and control methods.
