My pronouns are she/her.
I’m currently doing my Master’s project in the Poole lab as the fourth year of my MBiol degree at Oxford, after realising how much I love soil! I’m working on the development of synthetic gene switches in rhizobia, with the aim of placing nitrogen fixation in rhizosphere bacteria under the control of signals released from cereal crop roots. This could be part of the solution to sustainably providing major crops with nitrogen fertilisation. More generally, I’m passionate about making food systems more sustainable, and understanding below-ground community ecology interactions between plants, fungi, and their microbiomes.
