My research considers aerial interception in diurnal raptors.
In particular, it investigates how hawks use head movements to stabilise gaze during aerial pursuit and how this information augments the guidance laws that describe attack trajectories. Through biological experimentation with Harris’ hawks and simulation, I aim to understand this function in birds and the applications of this to UAVs.
