My research focuses on microbial toxins, their evolution, their role in ecological systems, and their utilization in medical and industrial applications.
Currently, I am focused on the role of toxin spectrum in interbacterial competition utilizing both computational modeling and experimental approaches.
Previously, during my PhD, I worked with Class IIb microcins (siderophore-microcins), developing novel purification strategies and engineered probiotics for applying these toxins to treat infectious disease of the mammalian gut.
